Why Your Company Should Hire a Fractional CMO?

Save Money and Get Brutally Honest Feedback About Your Company’s Marketing

You don't want to risk hiring a permanent full-time C-level executive early.

You are looking for a short-term commitment with long-term results.

You need someone with fresh perspective and wide experience.

You are not ready to offer company's equity just to hire a full-time C-level executive.

You need a CMO who can provide transparency into how my marketing is performing.

You need someone who can take charge and delegate tasks.

You want to spend more time on running your business, not your marketing.

You want someone who is confidence in leading the team to deliver on the outcomes.

Let’s talk – I’m here to listen.

As a small treatment center, with a small budget, it is tough to compete with larger rehab brands. However, 12 Steps Marketing has us outranking even some of the biggest players in our industry for tons of keywords.

Common Questions

fractional CMO is typically brought in to establish or lead your company’s marketing function on a part-time or short-term consultative basis. The fractional part means you get a senior marketing leader who’s fully-committed to your team, but not fully-burdened with executive-level costs

Marketing Lead – Planning and executing marketing strategies to help your company continue moving toward the goals you want to achieve. A CMO brings deep marketing knowledge to and professional direction to help you produce the expected results at the fastest time possible.

Marketing Audits – Doing a thorough review of your marketing plan, objectives, strategies, and the current campaigns that are currently being executed. The goal is to help you discover what’s working and what isn’t so you can easily identify areas that need to be improved.

Advisory Services for CEO Support – Provide expert advice to the leader and bring in fresh perspectives on core challenges. In addition, a fractional CMO can also collaborate with the CEO to turn marketing insights collected from marketing audits into a significant increase in revenue.

Strategic Project Support & Planning – Lead and supervise the marketing team in planning and executing marketing campaigns. With a marketing leader in your team, you can expect to make your marketing effort to produce better results.

The average salary for a chief marketing officer is $173,000 per year. For chief marketing officers that are in highly competitive spaces, including SaaS, tech, medical, digital goods, e-commerce, and sub-manufacturing, it is not uncommon to find full-time CMOs who charge $250,000 per year or more, plus benefits and potentially equity in start-ups.

Terms 3-6 Months – The 3-6 months contract is recommended since it allows us to have a high level of commitment to each other. Plus, marketing strategies need time to take shape. So to produce the best possible results, you might want to consider working with me for 3 to 6 months. The cost starts at $10,000 per month.

Hourly Basis $200 to $300 – Assuming your company on a shoestring budget, this is probably the better option for you. Depending on your needs, you can have me to work as a CMO in your company for 20, 15, or just 10 hours a week.

You recognize that you need help – When your company has grown stagnant, and there’s no one in your organization who could come up with some creative marketing ideas to push your company’s growth, hiring a fractional CMO is the right solution for you.

You know that your enterprise is not ready for a full-time CMO – Maybe you’re a small business or a startup in need of marketing leadership, but you don’t have enough budget to hire a full-time CMO.

You are committed to a lean organization – Hiring fractional CMO is perfect for lean organizations that need to achieve growth, while continue being efficient with all the resources they have. It’s more cost-efficient, but you can still expect to see the same results as hiring a full-time CMO.

Not at all – The pricing mentioned earlier is what you need to have me bring in my in-depth marketing knowledge to help you grow your organization. And don’t worry, I’ll be fully committed to your organization, even if you only hire me on an hourly basis.
